Celebrate all the wonderful things about rum on the 16th August!

August 16th is National Rum Day!

Did you know that rum is the oldest spirt in the world? It’s believed the first distillation took place during the 1620’s!

With it’s long connection to warmer climates, exotic ways of life and being a necessity for any self respecting sailor, rum is quite possibly the coolest spirit around!

We love a rum based cocktail here at The maverick Bar Company, so today we’ll be raising a toast with a very tasty Mojito.  Cheers!
