Pride month is celebrated every June as a tribute to those who were involved in the Stonewall riots in New York in the 1960’s.

What’s the history of Pride Month? On a hot summers night in New York in 1969 police raided the Stonewall Inn, a gay club in Greenwich Village, which resulted in bar goers, staff and neighbourhood residents rioting outside. The message was clear – protestors demanded the establishment of places were the LGBT+ community could go and be open about their sexual orientation without the fear of arrest.

We’re getting ready to dust off our rainbow flags, douse ourselves in glitter and join in the fun and what better way to celebrate than with this gorgeous looking Rhubarb Raspberry Gin Sour?

Recipe:

🍸 37.5ml Rhubarb Gin

🍸 12.5ml Raspberry Liqueur

🍸 Lemon Juice

🍸 1 Egg White

🍸 12.5ml Simple Syrup

Add all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker and dry shake (i.e. don’t add any ice yet) for 20 seconds. Then add lots of ice to the shaker and shake for a further 20 seconds. Strain into a glass and garnish with something fabulous 🌈
