The 9th April is national Gin & Tonic (G&T) day! Who doesn’t want to raise a glass to this absolute classic?
Light and refreshing, the G&T is a simple mixed drink that requires just the two named ingredients (and we like to add a squeeze of fresh lime).
A great choice for any time of the day – an aperitif, dinner, post dinner or anytime you just fancy an invigorating drink.
The best G&T is made with a quality gin (we like a double measure so you can taste the flavour of the gin) – especially those with a slight citrus flavour and a great blend of botanicals. Bombay Sapphire and Tanqueray are two of our favourites!
Keep in mind is that your G&T is only as good as both the gin and the tonic water, so why not explore some of the great tonic waters that have sprung up thanks to the drinks resurgence in popularity, we really like Fever Tree & a classic Schweppes Indian tonic water.
